Live classes on Sundays in Vilnius - each class costs 40 EUR, duration 3 hours
Each class is dedicated to a specific way of painting watercolor landscapes.
During the lessons, you will explore different methods and creative “tricks” in watercolor that make working with the medium easier and more enjoyable.
The information is well-structured and presented step by step, so the course is suitable for both beginners and continuing students!
In the lessons you will:

Learn to paint atmospheric watercolor landscapes. Each class will help you master practical techniques for working in different watercolor styles.

Discover various types of contrasts: light and shadow, color contrasts, as well as rhythm and texture contrasts.

Practice techniques such as alla prima, wet-on-wet, sometimes glazing, and also get acquainted with unique author’s methods of working with watercolor.

Find your favorite color combinations and understand how and why to limit your palette.

Experiment with brushes (a wide variety is available in the studio) and choose those that best suit your temperament. You will be able to try different shapes and bristle types for various tasks. This will help you avoid unnecessary purchases in the future, as you will already know which brushes you really need. Sometimes it’s also possible to purchase brushes not available in Vilnius — feel free to ask.

Work on professional watercolor paper made of 100% cotton at every class.

Learn how to guide the viewer’s attention in each landscape using a full range of modern artistic tools.

And, of course, explore signature techniques developed over years of artistic practice, which you will be able to integrate into your own work and use to elevate your level of mastery.

Rural landscapes
Practice of the "Wet on Wet" technique.
We draw simple but beautiful rural landscapes with a field and a house in the distance. These lessons are necessary for those who have difficulties with watercolor fills and color mixing.
In classes we learn:
- Paint with watercolors without streaks.
- Control the amount of water on the brush and on the paper
- We learn to mix and match colors, and maintain contrasts.
- Learning to generalize and simplify: the technique of working with broad brush strokes and the logical thinking of a watercolorist.
- We learn to create rhythm in a composition and combine rhythmic places with the absence of rhythm.
- We study basic methods of depicting grass, foliage and sky.
- Using composition, color and light-tone combinations, we highlight the main object in the landscape.
Water and reflection
Let's learn how to draw realistic water.
We draw beautiful landscapes with water and reflection.
In these classes we learn:
- Break any work with a similar plot into 2 steps: the first layer in the "Wet on Wet" technique, then the second layer on dry.
- See the difference between reflection in water and shadow.
- draw a blurred reflection with soft edges and a clear reflection on dry.
- Control the direction of brush strokes, setting the movement of waves with them.
- We practice the "Wet on Wet" technique, choosing the right moment for the watercolor paper to dry to create controlled brush strokes.

Рисуем пейзажи с черепичными крышами, узкими улочками и цветами. Учимся рисовать солнечные тени и перспективу.
На этих занятиях вас ждет:
- Основа карандашного рисунка, построение и перспектива

- Способы передать фактуру камня, стен и дороги

Домики
Эти занятия посвящены различным домикам и их окружению. Здесь мы учимся передавать характер главного героя в пейзаже.
На занятиях вы узнаете:
- Как выделить объект в пейзаже и привлечь внимание зрителя
- Как упрощать элементы архитектуры
- Как передавать настроение
- Как создавать движение в пейзаже
- Научитесь определять, где необходима техника "По-сырому", а где можно рисовать по-сухому
- Как передать воздушную перспективу
- Как обобщать дальний план
- Как придать своей работе реалистичность
- Научитесь рисовать солнечный свет и тени
- Узнаете, как рисовать зелень и землю

На занятиях вам будет предоставлена бумага из 100% хлопка.

АКВАРЕЛЬ
На занятиях вы получите стандартный набор художественной акварели, для Вашего удобства, Вы можете рисовать и своей акварелью.
Можно рисовать акварелью из тюбиков.
По желанию, можно докупить себе дополнительные цвета и в кюветах и в тюбиках.
КИСТИ
На занятиях вам будут предоставлены и кисти. Если есть желание рисовать своими, я предлагаю взять все интересные вам кисти, обсудим, как именно можно их применять.
Не забудьте взять и самые обычные кисти для комфортного рисования, синтетические, с острым кончиком. Номера: 12, 7, 4, 0.
КАРАНДАШ, ЛАСТИК, ТРЯПОЧКА
Так же на занятиях Вам будут предоставлены: карандаш,
ластик, тряпочка для техники по-сырому, малярный скотч для крепления листа, планшет, бумажные полотенца и баночка для воды.
Правила оплаты и участия
Записаться на занятие необходимо успеть до пятницы! В пятницу по условиям аренды студии, если нет записавшихся, воскресное занятие отменяется.
Для записи нужно оплатить занятие, только в этом случае для вас забронировано место.
При неожиданном пропуске занятия за 3 дня можно написать и договориться, на какое последующее занятие переносится ваш визит.
В случае внезапного пропуска занятия - деньги не возвращаются.
